Team schedule
The Schedule view lists events and games. Staff create and edit items; families see what the team publishes.
If you belong to multiple teams, the page shows an in-page team filter at the top of the card so you can switch which team's schedule you're looking at without leaving the page.
Future kickoffs on the schedule
When staff create or edit a game or practice on the Schedule, the start date and time must be in the future. That keeps the calendar forward-looking. (You can still change other details on a past game—opponent, notes, etc.—without moving the kickoff to a new time.)
Club events on your team schedule
If your team is part of a club, club staff can publish club events (tryouts, club-wide tournaments, team practices) with a chosen visibility. Two visibilities surface on your team schedule:
- Entire club events — visible on every linked team's calendar.
- Specific team events tagged with your team — visible on your team's calendar only.
Staff-only and Unique team / group club events never appear on a team schedule. When they do show up, club events are mixed in with your own games and events:
- They appear as a read-only purple "Club event" entry, distinct from team Home (blue), Away (red), and team-created Event (green) entries — the month view legend lists all four colors.
- Tap one to open a read-only detail drawer with the title, time, location (with a map when not virtual), and any details the club added.
- The drawer ends with a "Added by your club. Contact club staff for changes." note.
Team staff cannot edit or delete a club event from the team schedule — only club staff can change it. If a club event is wrong or needs to move, ask whoever runs your club's schedule. For the staff-side workflow, see Club events.
Subscribe to your calendar
You can add your team's games and events to the calendar app you already use — Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook — so they sit alongside everything else and stay current automatically.
On the web app, open the team Schedule and click Subscribe in the header. The dialog gives you a calendar link with a Copy button and an Add to Google Calendar shortcut:
- Apple Calendar / Outlook: copy the link, then add it as a calendar subscription (on a Mac, File → New Calendar Subscription).
- Google Calendar: use Add to Google Calendar, or paste the link under Other calendars → From URL.
The sync is one-way: when staff add or change a game or practice in Athleit, the update flows out to your calendar on its own (calendar apps refresh on their own schedule, usually within an hour or two). Changes you make in Apple or Google don't flow back into Athleit. Any team member can subscribe, and once the link is added it keeps working on every device signed in to that calendar account — including your phone.
Resetting the calendar link (staff)
The calendar link is a shared secret for the team. If it is ever posted somewhere public, team staff can open the same Subscribe dialog and choose Reset link. That issues a new link and stops every existing subscription from updating — everyone who had subscribed must copy the new link and subscribe again, so reset it sparingly.
Games and results
Games include opponents, locations, and kickoff times. Results (scores and outcome) are optional; your staff decides whether the team tracks them in Athleit.
Saved opponents and locations
Staff can maintain saved opponents and saved locations under Team settings on the web (Opponents and Locations tabs). Those entries appear as choices when creating or editing games and events, so schedules stay consistent. See Team staff, settings, and profile.
Recording a result for a scheduled game
Staff open Results (team dashboard). After a game’s scheduled start time has passed, it appears in the list; open the row to enter scores, outcome, and optional notes.
Adding a result that was not on the schedule
Sometimes you need to log a match that was never added to the Schedule. Staff can use Add result (the + button on the Results page):
- Web: Results → + opens a drawer with the same style of fields as Create game (date, time, opponent, location, details, then result fields). The kickoff must be in the past.
- Mobile: Results → + in the header opens the same flow.
That creates a normal past game on the team calendar (visible when viewing past dates) with the result already saved.
Who can edit results
Only staff on the team can add or change results. Parents and players see results if your team publishes them.
Club schedule
Club staff can open an aggregated schedule across linked teams for a read-only operational picture.
Availability
Availability is opt-in per event — staff decide whether to collect it when they create or edit the event by turning on track availability.
When the toggle is on, the event detail shows an I'm going response control for invited members. Tap your response (or open the event and pick from the drawer) and Athleit saves it to the event. You can change your answer at any time; staff see everyone's latest response on the same screen so they can plan attendance.
When the toggle is off, the response control is hidden and any prior responses are kept in case staff turn it back on later. There is no separate "availability" page — responses live on the event itself.
Weather on outdoor events
Event details for outdoor, non-virtual events with a usable location show a small live forecast — current temperature (°F), wind (mph), and the condition (e.g., Clear, Light rain) — anchored to the event's start time. It updates on a short cache, so reopening a few minutes later may show a slightly different reading.
Forecasts are not shown for virtual events, events without a venue or address, or dates outside the forecast window. The weather is informational only and doesn't affect scheduling or notifications.
